Schedules in Integrations

Schedules are a way to automatically load data from an integration to maintain the most up-to-date data in Ardoq.

A scheduled import is an import that will be executed daily (or weekly) based on a specific configuration for an integration.

Updating a configuration will not automatically update the schedule that uses that configuration. The schedule is a snapshot of a configuration at a certain point in time and will need to be recreated with the latest variant of a configuration to be updated.

Ardoq schedules are executed at 00:00 UTC+0.

Creating Schedules

You can create a scheduled import as the final step of any successful manual import (excluding the Excel import).

You'll have the option to set a daily or weekly interval, as well as to give the specific schedule a name. Click Create schedule to finalize the schedule. It will be executed in the next available execution period.

Manual Data Changes

You will also have the ability to disable any user-made changes to the workspaces affected by your schedule. This is useful when you want to keep an external source as the source of truth for your data. For example, if Entra ID is your repository for people data, you may want to limit manual changes do your Ardoq repositories. You can read more about manual data changes here.

Integrations Dashboard

You can review schedules from the integrations dashboard by going to Home > Import and integration from the main menu.

Schedules can be paused and resumed from the dashboard. However, resuming a schedule will require a manual re-run of the import to ensure that everything has remained valid since it was paused.

You can also use the Set alerts button to enable integration failure emails to be sent out to select administrators whenever a schedule fails.

Limitations

There is currently no way to order schedules or set them to execute at a specific time. The order of execution for a set of schedules will vary with processing loads.

The Excel integration cannot be scheduled β€” we recommend the SharePoint integration if you want to get Excel files on a schedule
