Here’s a round-up of the latest releases and a sneak peek of what we’re preparing for you next.
Contributor Access Role Is Now Available In Presentations
The Ardoq contributor role makes it easier for you to distribute Ardoq assets across your wider organization.
You can now enable non-Ardoq users to securely access presentations with the contributor access role by authenticating via your organization’s Single Sign-On.
Users will be added automatically to Ardoq as Contributors as soon as they access the shared link, and you’ll get the full overview of Contributors under Manage Users in Ardoq.
Here where you can read about the updated presentations permissions.
New Number Formats And Styles
Visualizing numbers got a whole lot better with new number formats & styles! You now have more options to choose from when displaying numbers (including dates and currency) in Ardoq with enhanced global number formatting and new styles for number fields:
Set your global number formatting and date according to your locale straight from your account settings. Pick the one that’s best for you from the most common locales.
Bring more clarity to what your numbers represent by choosing between Decimal or Currency number styles when you create or edit number fields.
Here's where you can read more about how to pick a style for your number fields.
Improved Relationships View
In this new version of the Relationships view you’ll be served performance, usability, and visual improvements all in one!
We’ve optimized the view to use less memory usage. This means it is now possible to handle larger datasets, and ensure a smooth experience when visualizing your data.
We’ve introduced both small and bigger improvements in this area. From using higher quality view modifier icons and removing those that are not so relevant to this view, to retaining new positions for dragged components, and adding new functionality such as ‘Show only connected components’.
This new view tool setting allows you to show or hide components that do not have references. This is most useful when viewing all the components in a workspace.
You can now visualize ungrouped data and duplicated references. This makes it easier to uncover unknown relationships as all existing references, including duplicated ones, are visible.
Scenario Metamodel Merge Flow
If your organization has the Scenarios feature enabled, we’re happy to announce that it is now possible to keep your scenario up to date with changes from the mainline. The first part of the merge flow functionality enables you to merge changes to the metamodel from mainline to your scenario.
This means you are now able to:
Merge changes to component types, reference type, and fields from mainline to your scenario
Resolve conflicts between the mainline and scenario metamodels to activate the Related section and Visual diff in Scenario mode
Learn all about the scenario merge flow functionality here.
Added Support for SAML Single Sign-On Integration
Ardoq already supports SSO integration using the modern OpenID Connect protocol for an array of providers. Based on popular request, we have now also added support for the SAML protocol. Get in touch with your CSM if you need support with setting up your SSO.
Here’s a sneak peek of the ongoing developments planned to go live in the next few months.
A New Ardoq Module: Broadcasts
Collaboration is key to building trust and data confidence when collecting and distributing information across the organization. However, reaching the right people and keeping them engaged means sending the right message, at the right time, that speaks to their specific context.
This is why we are building a new Ardoq module:
Meet Broadcasts, a highly-configurable messaging automation platform that enables you to engage your stakeholders far beyond IT with tailored messages and insights using event-driven automation and graph analysis.
With Broadcasts, you can:
Send out Survey invitations and reminders
Set up data-driven Alerts
Build Workflows to orchestrate tasks between team members (including simple approval workflows to take care of your governance needs)
Go check out this knowledge base article to see Broadcasts in action and learn more about how it works.
Dependency Map View
We’re also upgrading the Dependency Map view! Look forward to seeing:
Outgoing and incoming degrees of relationships.
New view modifiers.
Colour and label by reference when grouping by reference.
Improved sort functionality to the referenced component.
Ability to show child component when the context is set to parent that is filtered away.
Scenario Content Merge Flow
Following the release of the first part of the scenario merge flow, the scenario content merge flow enables you to merge any changes to components, references, and tags from both the mainline to the scenario and from the scenario to the mainline. Here’s what to expect from the upcoming Scenario Data Merge functionality.
Filter Functionality For All Integrations
Getting your data into Ardoq will become easier with the option to import your source data into specific workspaces in Ardoq using filter rules. This feature is now in beta testing for the ServiceNow integration but will be added to all integration in the coming months.
