Search Quick Filters
March 31, 2026
We've added an improvement to the search filtering: Quick filters now appear directly below the search bar. Filter results by component type with a single click.
What's new:
Quick filter chips. A row of component-type filters (e.g. Application, Person, Business Capability) appears right below the search input. Select one to scope results to that type.
"Filter" button. For filtering beyond quick filters, click Filter to open the full Advanced Search.
Admin configuration:
Organization admins can now configure which component types appear as quick filters for all users:
Go to Organization settings > Search settings (a new dedicated settings tab).
Under Select quick filters, choose the component types to surface as default filters.
The Preview section shows how the filter chips will appear in the search dialog.
Click Save to apply the changes org-wide.
This gives admins control over which component types are most visible in search, so users can find the right data without needing to know the full metamodel.
Priority Fields
March 19, 2026
Admin EAs can now select a set of priority fields per component type. Those fields show up first in the About section of the Component Overview Page and in the in-view Details Panel, so business users see what's relevant right away.
Setting it up
Priority fields determine which fields are shown in the About section of the Component Overview Page. To configure them for a given Component type, like Applications:
Go to Organization settings โ Component Overview, pick a component type, and toggle on the fields you want to surface.
Note: With no priority fields yet configured, the about section shows all fields, and only admins see a prompt to configure them.
Work in View & Enhanced Component Overview
March 17, 2026
Discover in Core beta now includes a new Work in View experience and the Enhanced Component Overview page. This update aligns and consolidates the experience across all user roles. Whether you're an admin, writer, or contributor, working with data in the view now looks and feels the same. Everyone gets the same intuitive navigation and layout, with contributors having a simpler version that hides some of the more technical actions.
Work in View
Editing, exploring, and creating data now happens directly in the visualization so you can stay focused on what you're looking at.
Back/forward navigation - Browse through your exploration history like a browser
In-view creation - Add new components and relationships without leaving the canvas
Double-click exploration - Click any component to instantly explore its connections
Simplified layout and UI - Edit component details, styling, and field data from a single panel next to your visualization
Try it our click-through demo !
Enhanced Component Overview
The new view experience is dependent on the updated component overview. The component overview page has been redesigned so you can do more with it. You can now view and edit field data, create references, and update component style and color all directly from the component overview page.
Quickly return to open data
March 2, 2026
Following up on the recent new Sidebar and Top Bar navigation release. We got the feedback that customers were struggling to find their way back to their open data when they left a view to do something else. To address this, we've now made this dead easy!
โ
Open search (or โ + K / Ctrl + K on your keyboard) from anywhere in the app.
โ
The top of the search window will now always display your currently open data, so you can quickly get back to your previously opened:
Viewpoints
Inventory
Dashboards
Reports
Workspaces
โ
Check it out, and let us know what you think.
โ
Additionally, we've also been asked if we could share some additional guidance for training end-users on the new UI, so we've created this click-through guide you can share with internal Ardoq users.
Redesigned Navigation
February 18, 2026
The new Discover beta now includes a global, redesigned navigation experience. These changes address common feedback about getting lost in the navigation, hitting dead ends, and not being able to use the browser back/forward.
Note: While the new sidebar and topbar are enabled in the New Discover (Beta), they're shown in both Core and Discover for a consistent navigation experience.
Collapsible sidebar
The sidebar can be collapsed to free up screen space or expanded when needed. It stays consistent as you move between pages. You can also hover over the edge to temporarily open it.
Grouped navigation
Related items are organized into clearer sections: a top group (Home, Notifications, Tasks, Solutions, Asset library), a Data group, and an Insights group (Dashboards, Reports). Primary items link directly to pages with a single click.
New top bar: When you navigate into specific content, a top bar appears showing where you are. Click any item to jump back. Relevant page action (edit, create, etc.) is also placed here.
More screen space
The old navigation took permanent space. The new sidebar collapses, so you get the full width when you need it.
Some things have changed location: "Where do I find...?"
Advanced search โ Sidebar > Reports > "Advanced" button on the Reports page
Gremlin graph search โ Same place, Sidebar > Reports > "Advanced" button (requires graph filter permissions)
Open a workspace โ Home (Asset library) > Select 'Open selected', then click to open Workspace
Component type search filter
February 3, 2026
You can now filter search results by component type in the New Discover Beta. This basic enhancement helps you narrow down results quickly and serves as a key technical step in our roadmap toward the upcoming semantic search capabilities.
Open Beta Launch
December 12, 2025
Unified Platform Discover now lives directly inside the core Ardoq application at /app/discover. This major integration removes the need for a separate login portal, streamlining the workflow for all users.
Visual Builder Support We have added full support for Block Diagrams and Dependency Maps. All styling and formatting rules applied in the Core platform are now faithfully rendered in Discover, ensuring consistency in your presentations.
Granular Permissions Discover now honors the exact same "Can View" permissions set at the Workspace and Component level in Core. This ensures that data governance is maintained strictly across both experiences.
