Ardoq’s AI currently specializes in detecting reference questions in surveys designed to link Applications to Business Capabilities and Technical Capabilities using the "Is Realized By" reference type. It offers relevant Business or Technical Capability component suggestions when you are working from an Application component in a survey.

How to Enable AI Functionality in Your Organization
To create references using AI, start by enabling it in your organization from the Preferences menu > Organization settings > Features > Intelligent data enrichment.
If you don’t see this tab in the Organization settings modal, contact your Account Manager to sign the updated Data Processing Agreement (DPA), which will unlock AI functionalities in Ardoq.
How to Create References Using AI in Surveys
1. Set up the Survey's Data
Open an existing survey or create a new one. In the “Data Selection” step of the Survey builder, select "Application" as the workspace and component type.
2. Configure the Reference Question
In the “Questions” step, add a “Reference question”. When setting it up, ensure you define the following:
Direction: Select "Incoming". This sets the reference to be created from the component selected below to the Application component in the survey.
Target Workspace: Select the workspace containing your "Business Capabilities" or “Technical Capabilities”
Target Component Types: Select "Business Capability" or “Technical Capability”
Reference Type: Select "Is Realized By"
3. Save Your Progress
After configuring the question, click the "Save changes" button in the top right corner. A purple tag confirming "AI suggestions enabled" should now be visible above your reference question.
5. Publish and Answer the Survey
Once you’ve finished creating your survey, publish it, and open the survey form to see Ardoq’s AI in action. You can open it from the Survey builder by clicking on the eye icon at the top right corner of the screen, or from the Survey overview page by hovering on the name of your survey and clicking on “Answer survey”.
6. Use AI Suggestions to Create References
In the survey form:
Select the "Application" component you want to update.
Find your reference question and expand the dropdown.
Look for the “AI suggestions” section at the top. Suggested "Business Capability" or “Technical Capability”components will be listed here with a purple sparkle icon (✨) next to their names.
