Updated over a week ago

The SAP® Signavio Exporter integration allows you to:

  • Select, filter (optional), and export your Ardoq workspace components to dictionaries within SAP® Signavio

  • Create new dictionary categories in SAP® Signavio or select existing ones to export to

  • Add custom fields to components. Currently, the supported custom fields include:

    • Ardoq OID - a unique identifier associated with Ardoq component that will appear as an attribute of the newly created dictionary entry

    • Ardoq component URL - The URL linked to the component within Ardoq that will appear as an attribute of the newly created dictionary entry

Note: if there are other fields you may find valuable, please contact our team. We are interested in hearing what else could be of value to customers

Please note: The speed of the import is impacted by API volume constraints put in place by SAP® Signavio. Subsequent imports may run faster as we begin to only import components that have been updated.

How to set up the SAP® Signavio integration

You must first have a SAP® Signavio account to set up a SAP® Signavio integration. If you would like to test the integration capabilities, you can register for a free account at Signavio.com. The integration functions for both paid and trial accounts.

  1. Navigate to the Integrations page in Ardoq

  2. Click the SAP® Signavio Export logo

Select components

  1. In the SAP® Signavio connection dropdown menu, you can select an existing SAP® Signavio connection. If you do not already have an existing connection, you must first configure it in the SAP® Signavio Import integration, as these connections are shared.

  2. In the Select a workspace dropdown, select (or type) the name of the workspace you'd like to export components from

  3. In the Component types dropdown, choose the component types from the source workspace that you would like to export. You may select one or more component types to export

  4. (Optional) filter on components from the source workspace by checking "Apple filter to specify components to sync" if you'd like to target a subset of components to export

  5. Click Next: Map fields to move on to the next step

Map fields

  1. The name of the component type(s) selected in the previous step will appear as tabs in the Map fields step

  2. Next, select an existing or create a new SAP® Signavio dictionary where you'd like your exported components to reside (example: select the "IT Systems" category if you are exporting application components)

  3. The component name will automatically be assigned as the dictionary entry name

  4. Next, map the Ardoq object identifier to a field such as "Ardoq OID"

  5. Map the Ardoq component URL to a field such as "Ardoq URL"

  6. Repeat the previous steps for any additional component types

  7. Click Next: Review export

  8. The number of exported dictionary categories (will be zero if no new ones were created or updated) and dictionary entries will be displayed

  9. Click Next: Export and schedule to proceed with the export

  10. (Optional) you may schedule automated exports of the configured component types in the following step

Note: there may be a slight delay (<30 seconds) between when the export is triggered and when the new dictionary entries appear in SAP® Signavio)
