What it does
When your data is a hierarchy, such as a capability map, an org structure or an application → module tree, you can now include every level below your start components in one step. It works however deep each branch goes. You don’t add the same parent/child reference once for every level.
How to use it
Open the Viewpoint builder.
Select your start component(s).
Tick Include all descendants of the selected components.
Continue building your viewpoint as usual. The hierarchy below your start set is included automatically.
Hierarchies with more than one component type
If the hierarchy spans several component types, the builder shows the start set as a single Component Hierarchy Type node with a tree icon. Hover over it to see which types it contains. You can add references from any of those types from that one node.
Checking the box covers descendants only, not ancestors of the selected context component(s).
