Say goodbye to the hassle of creating proxy users and API tokens tied to real users. With Ardoq’s Service accounts, you can now manage these users and their API keys directly in-app, simplifying provisioning and avoiding issues when users leave the organization.

What is a Service Account?

A Service Account is a special user in your organization created solely to own an API token for integrations, eliminating the need for proxy users tied to real employees.

Service accounts can also be used to run scheduled integrations.

To create a service account

  1. Navigate to Preferences > Access Control > Service accounts

  2. Click on Create new

  3. Give it a "Service account name" and "Token description"

  4. Select a "Service account role"

  5. Click on Create service account

To regenerate a token or delete an account

Click on the three-dot menu next to an account name and select Regenerate token or Delete.

Please note that regenerating a token will cause any clients relying on it to lose communication with Ardoq.
