Solutions, previously known as Use Cases, are Ardoq’s best practice approach on how to solve specific objectives or achieve a specific outcome. They help you realize value as fast as possible by providing a technique and pre-made assets that can be populated with data to deliver business outcomes. Solutions are for everyone looking for a fast and easy way to solve problems and generate insights quickly.

What is Included in a Solution?
Each solution comes with a guide and a set of pre-made assets that can help you get started quickly. They do not contain sample data, meaning you will need to provide your own data to the appropriate workspaces.

Note: Access to pre-made assets is included in all customer price plans with the exception of pre-made viewpoints and scenarios, which require Discover and Scenario paid add-ons.
How to Launch a Solution
To download all pre-made assets within a solution to your organization, click on the Ardoq Solutions module in the left-side navigation bar.
The Application Lifecycle Management solution is selected by default. To see other solutions, simply browse the dropdown menu at the top left corner of the screen.
Next, click on the “Add solutions materials'' button at the top right corner of the screen. Finally, select “Add solution materials'' on the “Add solution materials?” confirmation modal to complete the process. You will receive confirmation that the pre-made assets have been successfully downloaded once you see a green success message at the top right corner of the screen.
You can find the solution materials in the Home page under the Asset Library. Please do not rename the Solutions Materials folder. This folder is used across all solutions, and it is where materials for other solutions will be downloaded to.
Please note: All pre-made assets do not include sample data. After downloading these assets, you will need to configure them with your own data by choosing the appropriate workspaces.
Removing All Solution Materials From an Organization
Pre-made solution assets can easily be removed from an organization. This can be done by selecting the Solutions Materials folder from the Home page and selecting the delete option.
This deletes all pre-made assets that are in the Assets library (workspaces, presentations, surveys, metamodels, and folders). The collateral outside of the Asset library (broadcasts, queries, dashboards, perspectives) will need to be removed individually.
Note: If you need to re-download a solution with changes, you must first delete the Solutions Materials folder in Ardoq. Please do not rename the Solutions Materials directory.

Who can access Ardoq Solutions?
Ardoq Solutions is available to all Ardoq customers. Only admin users can download pre-made assets to their organization.
How do I delete an existing use case bundle?
Navigate to Preferences > Organization Settings.
Delete the Use Cases, then the Entity Groups from the org settings in the same order.
Delete the existing "Use Case Materials" (if not used anymore)and "Solution Materials" folders. Make a copy of any assets if needed.
Re-add the use case Ardoq solutions from the UI. Note: Solutions added from the UI will not contain sample data.
What are Entity Groups and Use Cases located in Org settings.
Entity Groups are components of use cases, automatically included when copying a use case. While we plan to make Entity Groups available to end users in the future, they are currently intended for internal use and are tested with our predefined use cases. These settings are hidden by default. If needed, please reach out to the support team to have them temporarily enabled.
Note: Currently, the toggle to showcase (Entity Groups/Use Cases) in org settings can be temporarily enabled by support in situations where users are unable to re-add use case bundles due to issues such as a corrupted metamodel or deleted workspaces. This toggle allows users to delete and re-add the bundles to resolve the issue. When the toggle is enabled, users will only see the Ardoq Solutions they have already added, and no new solutions will be visible. For this reason, it is crucial to only enable the toggle temporarily while the user resolves the issue. Once the bundles have been successfully re-added, the toggle should be turned off to restore normal functionality.When is best to download a solution?
The easiest way to get started with Solutions is to download them to your organization before loading any other data. This will download the metamodel that you need to follow for faster time to value. After you have implemented one solution, you can extend with more solutions that are relevant to achieve your objectives.
Will my existing data be affected if I download a solution?
No. Pre-made solution assets will not impact any existing data that has been loaded into Ardoq. This means that solutions can be downloaded to an organization at any time without impacting previous work.
