There are different ways to export your data. You can export:

How to Export Data as .XLS

If you need to export any data to Excel, you can do this from the home screen. Click the 'three dots' menu on the workspace that you would like to download, and select 'Export'. This will export an Excel file (.xls) with all your workspace data.

Alternatively, you can also export to Excel from the 'Sidebar Menu'.

ardoq export data

This exports all the workspace components and their fields in an Excel format.

⚠️ Remember that all connected references are not included.

⚠️ Please note that, If there is no data for a field column, then that particular field column will not get exported.

How to Download a Visualization as .PNG or .SVG

Most of the views in Ardoq that provide you with visualizations, also known as graphs, let you export the canvas to .PNG or .SVG formats.

Simply hover the gear icon in the top-right of the view and click 'Export':

Note: In the case you want to present your data to your team or organization, we recommend using the Presentation Mode.

How to Download a Visualization as .PDF

In any view, you can press “Ctrl + P” to download your visualization as a .PDF. Most graphs are best displayed in the 'Landscape' layout and 'Legal' as paper size.

How to Export Data Using Reports

To export data from a specific workspace, component, or reference field:

  1. Create a new report by selecting "Create new > Report" from the Home page.

  2. Select Advanced Search or Gremlin Search on step 1 in the Report Builder.

  3. Choose the workspace(s) you wish to query.

  4. Build your Advanced Search query or Gremlin query.

  5. Save your report and give it a name.

  6. Click on the "View" button at the top right corner of the screen.

  7. Select the "Export to" button and choose between:

    1. Export to Excel (report data only) when you need to download an .xls file that includes the selected columns in the report only and lists names instead of IDs for source, type, target, and reference columns.

    2. Export to Excel (import format) when you need to re-import the .xls file into Ardoq using the Excel integration

    3. JSON when you need the data in a computer readable format

To export data from a saved report, simply open it from the Home page or from the Report Overview page. You will land on the Report Reader where you can find the "Export to" button in the top right corner of the screen.

⚠️ It is not possible to export references with visuals as an Excel file, they can only be exported as a PNG from one of the Ardoq views.
