Users can now select and display multiple labels, truncate them, and save these formatting rules within Viewpoints. Navigation between view styles, label expansion/collapse, and viewpoint saving/exporting remain functional, and previously saved Timeline views will load correctly.

Key Enhancements

  • Multiple Labels: Users can select multiple data fields as component labels.

  • Customizable Labels: Labels can be chosen from default and custom fields. Users can adjust the order of labels and configure field names to be shown or hidden per label for specific component types. For "All component types," field names are always displayed.

  • Label Formatting:

    • Labels exceeding two lines are truncated, with a tooltip displaying the full value on hover.

    • Dividers visually separate multiple labels for clarity.

  • Saving to Viewpoints: Label formatting rules are saved as part of the Viewpoint and load correctly.

  • Backward Compatibility: Previously saved Viewpoints and slides with Timeline views will retain their original labels. Reference labels are saved but not displayed.

Expand and Collapse

To manage and display complex structures, the Timeline view includes expand/collapse options:

  • Individual Components:

    • Components with multiple labels or phases feature a ^ (expand) / v (collapse) icon for label visibility.

    • Child components in a hierarchy use a - (collapse) / + (expand) icon.

  • Groups:

    • Groups can be individually collapsed and expanded using the - and + icons next to their names.

Visual Updates and Initial State

The Timeline view has received visual improvements:

  • Configured labels appear and can be collapsed as needed.

  • Reference labels are saved but not displayed.

  • Expand/collapse and group icons are interactive.

Highlight Behavior

  • Hovering over a component highlights it and its corresponding timeline row.

  • Hovering over phases/milestones displays a tooltip.

  • Clicking applies a sticky highlight, which remains until clicked again to toggle off.

This streamlined version ensures clarity while retaining all essential details. You can expand on specific sections if needed for documentation purposes.
