With Ardoq ShiftX you can leverage the latest LLMs to generate processes for you. This is great if you have existing processes documented in a variety of different formats, or if you just want a quick template to get you going. As input we support images, text and audio. To get started first create a new process and enter edit mode. Read this article for a step by step guide if you are not yet familiar with how to get there.
Once you are in a new process draft hit the "Generate with AI" button in the bottom left corner
You can leverage one of the example prompts (generated based on your process name) or write your own. In the below picture I simply wrote "Create our Employee Onboarding process". The LLM will be given the actors in your ShiftX instance as context.
As with any chat based LLM feel free to give it further directions if the result was not what you where looking for. With a simple prompt like above you give a lot of creative freedom to the LLM.
If you have longer textual process descriptions just paste the text into the prompt and give it a go. And again, with LLMs iteration is often key, so modify or add extra instructions to improve the result.
Convert images to process diagrams
If you have processes already documented in other tools or pictures taken from white boards etc, levering AI to convert them to a ShiftX process will in many cases give you a great starting point in Ardoq ShiftX.
To convert an image drag it into the chat window or click the image icon in the lower left corner and hit the black upload button.
Based on our experience certain kinds of images can be tricky for the LLMs to decipher. Especially large swim lane based process diagrams with many lanes and lots of white space. In some cases splitting large images into multiple parts can help.
