What’s the Component Overview Page?
The Component Overview Page is a page in Ardoq that provides an overview of information about the selected component.
This page is available in Ardoq Discover and on the main platform.

Component Details
Viewpoints: The list of viewpoints where this component is a part of the traversal
References: grouped in a way relevant to stakeholders (From Default Viewpoint)
Fields: Component fields (From Default Viewpoint)
Surveys: The list of available surveys created for this component

How to Configure What Is Displayed on the Component Overview Page in Ardoq Discover
In the current version of this product, the default viewpoint you select for the component type will define the content of the Component Overview pages, specifically references, fields, and the non-priority survey order displayed on this page.
If a component type doesn't have a default viewpoint set, Ardoq will use the Default Viewpoint (Relationship Overview) model to show the components, fields, and references within the first degree of separation. This will avoid exposing sensitive fields unless configured by the admins.
How to Configure What Is Displayed on the Component Overview Page in Ardoq
The information a user sees on the component overview page is primarily based on the permissions set up for that user by the organization's administrators. Therefore, a user will see all information about the component for which they have been granted permissions.
How to Access Component Overview Page in Ardoq Discover
From Ardoq Discover: Open the Ardoq Discover search page and look for a component. After clicking on the component, you’ll get to the Component Overview page.
If you’re being redirected to the Details page with a viewpoint instead, please contact us via online chat.
From Broadcast Survey email: When you’re selecting the component list to share with the broadcast audience and selected “List of direct links to each survey with dynamic visuals in Discover” (see the screenshot below), all Component links in this Broadcast email will direct users to the Component Overview page of this component. The survey will be opened in the popup window.
How to Access Component Overview Page in the Main Platform
Use the quick search bar to find a component of your interest and click on it.
Whenever you click on other components on the Component Overview Page, you'll be previewing them in the same page.
How to Access Viewpoints in Ardoq Discover and the Main Platform
You can find the viewpoints in the viewpoints section of the Component Overview page. To do this, follow these steps:
On the Component Overview page, navigate to the viewpoint selector menu.
Choose a viewpoint from the menu to view that viewpoint.
Click to access.
Please note that we currently support two viewpoint builders: one for creating viewpoints in Ardoq Discover, and a new one for the main application. In time, the new builder will become the standard for generating insights across both the main app and Ardoq Discover. Learn more here.
How to Navigate from the Details Page to the Component Overview Page in Ardoq Discover
On the top right corner of the Details page, click on the icon. This action will navigate you to the Component Overview page.
