To make sure you have smooth and safe collaboration on your presentations, we collected the most common settings used in the Ardoq app.
Read Permissions
In the Details tab of the presentation editor, You have four read permissions for your presentations:
For "Only me" presentations, the same components are shown in-app as in the presentation for the presentation's creator and all organization admins.
For the "Use Workspace Permissions" presentation, what the viewer sees is dependent on the viewers' permissions rights to the workspaces in the presentation. Viewers that have read access to all workspaces will see everything. If the viewer doesn't have access to the selected workspace, they will not see the slide. π
As an example: if a presentation shows components from "Business Processes" and "Application Services" and the viewer does not have read access to "Business Processes", the viewer will not see components from that workspace.
For "Contributors with the URL" presentations, everyone in the organization including contributors can see the same components in the presentation.
For "Everyone with the URL" presentations, everyone will see the same components in the presentation.
β
When setting a presentation to "Everyone with the URL", the presentation will be available without login. This means that the presentation will be accessible to anyone with the URL. When shared, people outside of the organisation and the intended audience could potentially find and access this presentation and any confidential information within it.
β
Only organization admins can set a presentation as public. Please reach out to your CSM if you would like this option enabled for your organisation.
β
Write Permissions
You have two write permissions for your presentations:
Only me
My organization
For "Only me", then only the creator and all organization admins can edit presentations.
For "My organization" users with writer access can edit the presentation.
If the presentation is set to public, only organization admins can change the access rights.
If you still feel stuck about presentation permissions, reach out to us! You can do so via our website or by using the in-app chat. We're happy to help.
