Usage Metrics Dashboard

What is the Usage Metrics Dashboard

The Usage metrics dashboard is a non-editable dashboard that displays key usage metrics on how your organization is using both Ardoq and Ardoq Discover.

Use these insights to identify opportunities for improvement and plan efforts to increase usage and adoption of Ardoq and Ardoq Discover within your organization.

What is an asset?

An asset is a piece of content an admin or writer user can create. An asset can be a given workspace, dashboard, report, survey, etc.

What are events?

Events are any user action in the app such as opening assets or using a particular feature, for instance, performing a Gremlin search.

What are viewed assets?

Viewed assets are the number of times an asset has been opened.

What are most used features?

The most used features are the ones that have the most assets opened. Opening a feature’s overview page is not counted as an open. Only loading an asset is counted as an open.

How to Access the Usage Metrics Dashboard

Navigate to Preferences menu > Usage metrics to access the dashboard.

Available Metrics

The following metrics are available in the Usage metrics dashboard:

  • Usage engagement over time: Shows the number of users who have performed any of the following events in the last 30 days.

    • Loaded Ardoq

    • Viewed a slide

    • Viewed a presentation

    • Viewed a dashboard in Ardoq or Ardoq Discover

    • Opened a survey form (outside of Ardoq)

    • Submitted a survey

    • Performed a Gremlin search

    • Viewed a scenario

    • Opened Scenario Merge dialog

    • Opened Scenario Diff mode

    • Integration exports

    • Integration imports

    • Edited a broadcast

    • Created a broadcast

    • Sent a broadcast

    • Loaded Ardoq Discover

    • Loaded Ardoq Discover details

    • Loaded Discover search

  • Top 5 active users: Showcases the top 5 users with the highest number of sessions across Ardoq and Ardoq Discover during the last 30 days. A session in core Ardoq also includes opening a survey or a presentation. Plus:

    • Top used assets: Displays the top asset that each user has opened the most across Ardoq (including surveys and presentations) and Ardoq Discover during the last 30 days.

    • Top viewed features: Displays the feature each user has opened the most across Ardoq and Ardoq Discover during the last 30 days.

  • Most used assets: Shows the assets with the highest total number of opens across Ardoq and Ardoq Discover, including surveys and presentations, during the last 30 days.

    • The number of viewpoints in this chart represent the number of viewpoints opened in Ardoq Discover.

  • Most viewed features: Displays the features that have been opened the most in Ardoq and Ardoq Discover during the last 30 days.

    • Opening a feature’s overview page is not counted as an open. Only loading an asset is counted as an open.

    • For Gremlin queries and Broadcasts, the total number of times a query has been searched and the total number of times a broadcast has been sent is displayed.

    • The number of viewpoints in this chart represent the number of times a viewpoint has been opened in Ardoq Discover.

  • Monthly unique users in Ardoq: Displays the unique number users who have logged in to Ardoq, opened a survey outside of Ardoq, opened a presentation, or opened a dashboard or a report in Ardoq Discover during the last 30 days.

  • Monthly unique users in Discover: Displays the unique number of users who have loaded a page in Ardoq Discover during the last 30 days.

How to share the Usage metrics dashboard

Add the Usage metrics dashboard as a slide in a presentation and share it with your stakeholders.

To add the dashboard as a slide:

  1. Click on the "Add to presentation" button at the top right corner of the screen.

  2. Select a presentation from the dropdown or type a name to create a new one.

  3. Choose "Add to presentation". The presentation will open to the right of the screen and your slide will be the last slide.

  4. Add a description if necessary and click on the save icon.
